I arrived stressed and tense and left a few days later a different person. Great vibes, great location, great food and great people. The catamaran day they arranged was unforgettable. It's the type of place you meet strangers over dinner, but stay up all night talking. No need for an alarm clock when you monkeys to wake you up for a morning swim at the beach. Can't wait to go back. Our stay at Maderas was truly authentic and awesome!
We really enjoyed the communal areas, from the gorgeous open-air dining room to swinging in the second-floor hammocks. Our cabana was spacious and beautifully crafted, just like everything else on the property. The walk to the beach is great on the downhill, little bit of a pain on the uphill, but the private jungle trail from Maderas makes it worth every step. If you're single and looking for somewhere youthful and creative to stay with free WiFi , this is the place. I can't believe that it has been 6 months now since having my daughters wedding at Maderas Village.
What a truly remarkable experience. We have approximately 50 guests come from locations all throughout the US. Getting to Nicaragua was the easy part, getting to the Village a bit tricky but all part of the experience. Maderas Village arranged transport from Managua and they were there when we arrived. We were asked if we wanted to stop and eat or grab a drink before we took the 2 hour drive down to San Juan Del Sur. We were far to anxious so made a quick stop. On arrival, we were greeted like family by Jo and Danielle.
I had emailed with Danielle as she had been our wedding planner for all things from rooms for the guests, a BBQ rehearsal dinner, talent show, wedding cocktail hour, reception and dinner, and day after brunch.
Could not have done it without her. She scoured Nicaragua for flowers, food, serving pieces, and everything else needed to pull off the most perfect wedding ever. Every detail was perfection from the cigar and cocktail bar to the massive lobster dinner for At no point whatsoever was there any stress related to this wedding.
